Warfare surrounds prophetic words.
We see it all throughout the Bible. When a prophetic word is spoken, warfare begins.
David was anointed king. The next thing he knew he was running for his life, literally.
Joseph shared his prophetic dream. Soon after, his brothers sold him into slavery. He ended up in prison before he saw the word fulfilled.
We see this same scenario in the Old and New Testament. A prophetic word came forth, immediately some type of warfare followed.
It’s no different with us.
When the enemy hears the words that have been spoken over our life, he begins to war against those prophecies. He will do everything in his power to stop that word from coming to pass.
The good news is, Jesus already defeated him. Furthermore, He has shown us in 1 Timothy 1:18 how to stand firm on the words we have been given and lay hold of the fulfillment of them.
This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.
The enemy may begin the battle over our words, but we have the key to victory. That key is the words themselves.
When God or a prophet speaks a word over you, the word itself has the power within it to bring it to pass. Always remember that. It is a seed sown in your heart. A seed with the ability to produce exactly what God sent it to produce.
Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
We looked at 1 Timothy 1:18 in the New King James Bible, now let me share it with you from the Passion Translation;
So Timothy, my son, I am entrusting you with this responsibility, in keeping with the very first prophecies that were spoken over your life, and are now in the process of fulfillment in this great work of ministry, in keeping with the prophecies spoken over you. With this encouragement use your prophecies as weapons as you wage spiritual warfare by faith and with a clean conscience. For there are many who reject these virtues and are now destitute of the true faith.

Yes, warfare surrounds prophetic words however, we have been given divine weapons to win the war, once and for all.
Today, dust off those prophetic words you have been given. Put them before your face. Use them as weapons of warfare and defeat every enemy of doubt and unbelief. Remember your words are seeds sown into your heart. Those seeds will grow and produce what they were sent for. You have God’s word on it!
