142Today I was thinking about vision. The Bible says ‘without a vision, the people perish.’ One meaning of the word ‘perish’ is to let go. Without a vision, the people will let go. Let go of what? Let go of the vision that God has given them.

God gives each one of us a vision, a dream for our life. For many, time passes and they do not see that vision come to pass as soon as they would like to. When that happens, people will often let go of their vision.

Another thing that happens when the vision seems to be delayed is one may slowly move off the path of their original vision. At times, if we get off the path of our God-given vision, we will begin to try to make things happen apart from God and His original plan. Things will come along that are ‘good ideas’ instead of ‘God ideas’ and will prove to be something they can accomplish on their own. Good ideas are good, unless they move you off the plan of God.

Deuteronomy 5:33 says “Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.” (NLT)

This scripture is so profound. There is a particular land that God has destined for you to enter and occupy; that land is for you alone, no one else can occupy it. It is the vision, the destiny that God has for you alone. If you don’t enter it and occupy it, it will remain empty.

In order to enter and occupy the land God has for you, you must stay on the path that God has commanded you to follow.

Proverbs 4:25 in the Message Bible says; “keep your eyes straight ahead, ignore all the sideshow distractions.”

There are many things I (Kim) would like to do within this ministry, however there is a particular vision that God has commanded for this ministry, if I move off the path of God’s vision, I could be in trouble, at the very least I would not be on the path God has destined for me.

There are so many good ideas out there; there are even many, many things that need to be done. However, not all things are yours to do, God has a path for you, a plan for you, a destiny for you and it is vital to the Kingdom of God that you stay on that path and fulfill your destiny and vision.

Psalm 119:1 says “you’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God.” (Message Bible)

The word ‘blessed’ means empowered to prosper. Therefore, this scripture tells us that we are empowered to prosper when we stay on the course and walk steadily on the road God has revealed to us, the one He has destined for our life.

The enemy will, at times, attempt to get us off the course God has for us. If we allow ourselves to get off the course God has for us, we will never reach our destiny…we may do good work, but the God work that is destined for us will go undone.

God has given you a vision, don’t let it go and don’t get off the path that God has revealed for you. He has a path just for you, a destiny, just for you; remain on that path and that path alone, and you will prosper – your way will prosper, and you will have good success…you have His promise on that!
