I was trying to go to sleep. I had an early appointment the next morning, therefore I needed to get some rest. But I couldn’t go to sleep.
I tossed and turned. Finally, I sat up and began to pray in the spirit. I could sense something was going on in the spirit, it was obviously the reason for my restlessness. There would be no sleep for the moment, my spirit was too agitated to rest. So, I prayed. And I listened.
It was only moments before God began to speak to me. He quietly said, “there is so much more, if you would only press in, there is so much more.”
My mind drifted back to the events of the day.
While at the office, I had received a blessing. I knew it was part of the answer to a prayer I had prayed just days before. I had a financial need that I took to the Lord. I prayed about it. I sowed a seed toward it. I even cancelled a debt that was owed to me as part of my seed.
This blessing was a partial answer to that prayer. Not in fullness, but certainly a portion of it. I was thankful! As I continued to give thanks, God was telling me there was more…much much more. I felt He was urging me to refuse to settle for less than all He had for me.
He continued to speak to me. He said if His people would simply press in, there was more available to them than they were receiving.
I sensed an urgency in His voice, as well as a sadness. A sadness that His people were settling for less than was available to them. An urgency, because it is time to press in and receive the more than enough.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 says; Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
Ephesians 3:20-21 says; Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
We serve a God who desires to do abundantly above all we ask or think. A God who wants to give us things that we have difficulty imagining. A God who wants to bless us to the point that we have no more room to contain His blessings! Can you imagine that??!
Psalm 68:19 says; Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah.
Have you been daily loaded with all God’s benefits? If not, then you are not receiving all He has for you. It is HIS word, His promise…He wants you daily loaded with His benefits.
God is saying to His people… “there is so much more.”
We only need to press in and receive it. That means you. It means me. It is up to us. Will we press in for the more or will we settle for less than what God has for us? Will we settle for a little relief or press in for the abundantly above all we can ask or think?
I want all God has for me and I am sure you do too. Therefore, receive this encouragement today. Don’t settle for a half-answered prayer, press in for the fullness of all God has for you…don’t stop until your prayers are answered completely. Press on in and experience a daily loading of all God’s benefits. It is His promise to you.
Meditate on this:
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14
