Just before the month of May began, I sent out a letter to our ministry partners. I asked them to consider to commit to praying for wholeness in the Body of Christ throughout the month of May. It was something I felt strongly the Lord prompted me to do. Thankfully, several committed to praying this prayer daily for the entire month. It has really been an awesome time so far.
There have been a few days that God has spoken the same word or phrase on the same day, to several in our prayer group.
One day, I awoke singing a song called “Freedom Reigns.” It says, “Freedom reigns in this place…” I felt compelled to share this with our prayer group as I felt God was instructing us to declare freedom to the Body of Christ on that particular day. I was excited to learn, after I sent out that email, that several had heard the Lord speaking the same thing – some had even had dreams about freedom.
It has, as I said, been an exciting week so far. I truly believe God is moving and working on our behalf.
This morning as I was thinking about these past few days, I was reminded that prayer changes things. I was also reminded of several scriptures in the Bible. Let me share them with you today.
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:16)
The Amplified says it like this; The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. (Mt 18:19)
Now, in the Amplified Bible; Again, I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven.
My friends, there is so much power in prayer. It is a tool God has given us to see HIS will come to pass in the world we live in. In the here and now, not just when we get to heaven.
Matthew 6:10 says, Your kingdom come, Your will be done – on earth, as it is in heaven.
God’s desire is that we begin to live our lives as it is in heaven. Without sickness, without disease. Without lack and debt. Without fear and anxiety.
Jesus died that we might have and enjoy life, and life more abundantly. Are we doing that? If not, prayer is what we need to do to begin to press toward the goal of living a life of heaven on earth.
Our prayers make great power available. Prayers of agreement are powerful as well. When we gather together and pray God’s word, things begin to change. God listens and I am fully persuaded that He responds as well. I am seeing it happen.
What challenges do you have in your life today? Are you taking time to pray about them? Do you have friends or family praying in agreement with you?
Today, I just wanted to take the time to remind you of the power of prayer and the power of agreement. I truly believe we are in a season of prayer, but not only prayer, a season where we will see prayer answered. We must. We have His word and promise on it, and God never lies.
Thank you to all of you who have committed to pray over the Body of Christ and their healing and freedom. Let your faith arise, God is hearing our prayers, and we will see His healing come – of that, I am sure.
Praying with y’all! I love to pray. Daddy is so good!
