This weekend, one of our partners sent me a dream the Lord led her to share with me. When I first read it, I knew God was talking to me. I printed the dream and began to meditate on it, but before I continue, allow me to share the dream with you:

I hope this email finds you and your family well! I know I have shared my dreams with you in the past. This evening, before coming to work, I was having a very vivid dream, and in the middle of the dream, God spoke and said “You need to share this with Kim.” So that is what I want to do. When I first awoke, I asked God what was the importance of the dream that he specifically wanted me to share. And his response was simple. He stated “Unused Ground.”

When the dream began, I was sneaking into a house that I was unfamiliar with. Everything in the house seemed huge, and made me feel very, very small. I was coming to the house for one purpose. I knew that I wanted to start my own crop, and I needed seeds. In the dining room of this house, under the giant dining room table, there was all kinds of different fruits and veggies. I had a sled with me, and I started opening up the fruits and veggies and taking all the seeds that I needed. At first I was just dumping as many seeds as I could into my sled. And then it crossed my mind that I needed to be more organized, and I began to wrap the different types of seeds in cloth so that I would not confuse them. Once I had all that I came for, I left and headed to my field.

When I got there, my dad was present (Usually for me, my dad represents God the Father, and he uses him to speak to me in my dreams.) The field that I would be working in was split into three sections. With each section separated by fences. My dad and I took the middle section, and I began to plant my seeds.

At first I was timid with the seeds, and was only planting one of each kind. But then I realized that I needed these crops to last, and I began to place nice rows of the seeds in our section of the field.

Once we were done, I stood back and waited for something to happen. And it looked as if time was put on fast-forward in front of me. I saw another gentleman move in and began to grow crops on the left side of our field. I saw my crops go from tiny sprouts to large patches of fruits and veggies. We had acquired animals that were grazing our crops as well. At first I panicked. I was afraid that the animals would eat too much and that there wouldn’t be enough for us to survive off of. But my dad remained calm, and I realized that there was more than enough for us as well as the animals. When I looked around me. I saw our different animals in what I will call a “circle of life”. I saw a circle of horses all surrounding one horse as its life was coming to an end. I saw this dying horse lay down on the ground, and before I knew it, the dying horse was now a newborn horse, being born again. I saw the same thing happen with a group of lions. (it was as I stood back and watched these animals that God asked me to share the dream with you.) I watched another horse being born within its own family’s circle. And with this young horse I noticed something different. The horse was born ready to work. It came up from the ground still small, but it already had a saddle on its back. I took a liking to the pony, as it did to me, and I explained to him that I was young as well when I started these crops. I guessed and told the pony that I believed that I was around 8 when this started for me. My dad corrected me and told me that I was much younger than that when I started this field.

My father and I began to walk along the edge of the crops, and look at all that we had. I noticed that there was a third section of the field that had not yet been used by anyone. The grass on it was lush and green. I asked my father why he never used this ground. He stated to me that he had some money concerns, and stated that his SSI may not be enough for him to plant on this extra land and take care of his home as well. I promised him that I would help him buy the land. And secretly I wanted to get it done quickly, before the other gentleman working in the field had the same idea. My father also asked why I hadn’t been buying more furniture to fill up all the unused space in our house. As I walked up to the house to look around, I noticed that the house was very clean and organized, but there was hardly any furniture throughout the house. As I pondered on why the home was so bare, a good friend of mine walked into the house. She wanted to discuss with me the unused ground in the field. And she stated to me, “Don’t you know that there’s money already in that portion of the field.” I was confused as to what she meant, since my father and I had not yet planted any crops in that area. My friend stated to me “That area is already bringing in around four thousand dollars a year for you.” Still unsure about exactly what she meant, we climbed into my car and began to leave the farm. As I was preparing to drive off the land, I came upon a gentleman at a fence that was blocking our way out. As we approached him, I rolled down my window, and he explained to me how much it would cost for us to be able to leave the farm (I don’t remember the exact amount, but I know that we handed him $11). At that moment, I realized what my friend was trying to explain to me. There was a charge for anyone that came into and out of the land. And I then knew that all of that money was being stored up for whomever would finally cultivate that third and final section of land. The money was there for me, but I could not have it until I did something with the unused ground.

We paid our money, and continued down the road until we reached one of my favorite child hood destinations… The fair. I loved the fair growing up. It was almost magical to me. So as I drove up with my father, I was excited to go inside and get started. We pulled up to the fair gates, and we paid $18 to get inside. My dad and I walked through the gates, and once we were through, I could finally see what we paid for. And I was devastated. The fair-grounds looked like a dry waste land. The area was huge just as I remembered it as a child. But what shocked me more than anything was how much unused space there was. The only thing they had available were a few broken down trampolines for the kids, and one old broken down ride. I couldn’t help but think how different this place looked from the lush grass in the unused field. There was nothing but dirt and dust. Surprisingly there were a few families trying to enjoy this with their children. And I was just astonished that we paid for this, and that people were actually trying to enjoy it.

After this I woke up, and jotted the dream down quickly. I don’t know exactly what to make of the entire dream yet. But I do remember waking up disappointed that I had put money into that sad fair grounds.

Now I know this writing is longer than most, but it will be worth it! As I meditated on this dream I asked God what He wanted me to perceive. He said ‘look up unused ground.’ I did. Unused ground is defined as fallow ground. Oh my goodness, now, I knew this was scriptural.

The word ‘fallow’ means to plow but leave unseeded during a growing season. It also means undeveloped but potentially useful. It is basically to plow the land, rid the land of weeds and rock but never seed it, to leave it unoccupied and neglected.

As I read this definition I thought of the scripture in Luke 9:62 that says; ‘But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”’

What am I saying? We can’t stop at plowing. We can’t stop at breaking up the ground, removing weeds and things that would hinder our harvest. We must plow, break up the fallow ground and then place seed in the ground. No one ever received a harvest by plowing a field, plowing is important but it is the seeds that produces the harvest.

Jeremiah 4:3-4; 3 “For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart.”

We are in a time and season when God is blessing those who have plowed the ground of their hearts and sowed the seed of His word into that plowed ground. I know that is part of what He is saying, but I don’t believe that is all He is talking about.

God is showing us through this dream that there is unused ground….valuable ground that has not had seed sown into it…and I believe He is saying ‘its time to get that seed into the ground because it is growing season.’ This insight reminds me of what Chuck Pierce has been saying about this month, it is time to sow and sow and sow.

Lately, God has been speaking to us about rain as well…rain is also related to breaking up the unused or fallow ground…and sowing seed. Hosea promises us that when we do this, God will rain His righteousness down on us.

Hosea 10:12; 12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

I don’t know about you…but I know about me. I know I have some unused, unseeded, fallow ground in my life and I am setting my face like flint to get seeds in those areas, starting now.

God is definitely speaking to us through her dream. But He didn’t stop there. You see, the same night she had her dream, I dreamed about land also. In my dream, I was helping people build homes on their land. People were coming to me for the house plans and I was helping them choose the plan they wanted. This one woman came to us and said she had land to put a house on, she said ‘I got my land with a land grant.’ When she said that it hit my spirit in the dream and I knew we could all have land with a land grant if we would pursue it. That was the end of my dream.

After reading Ashley’s dream, I prayed about the dream I had. The Lord said ‘look up the word grant.’ Here is the meaning; to give, to bestow or confer on without compensation, particularly in answer to prayer or request. (Webster’s 1828 dictionary)

This put my feet to dancing…I knew God was saying He was ready to give, bestow or confer, without compensation, lands to His people, in answer to prayers and request! WhooHoo!

What land are you believing for? What land are you standing in faith for? What land have you plowed but have not yet seeded? If you have a land in mind, it’s time to put the seed in the ground for it is growing season and God is ready to bestow that land to you! Blessed be the name of the Lord!

Your land may be family salvation. Your land may be your business or ministry. Your land may be debt freedom. Your land may be actual land that you have been believing God for. I don’t know what your land is, but this I do know, if you have plowed the ground, if you have broken up the fallow ground, it’s time to place your seed in it and begin to praise God for it until He rains on it. It’s time, It’s time!

I am so thankful to God that I am alive and in His kingdom during this season in Him, aren’t you? Now…let’s get that seed in the ground.
