As with most folks, there are many things I am praying about this month, even this week. There are times in our life when it seems we are bombarded with prayer requests. There are times when it seems one thing happens after the other and we are trying to keep up. I don’t know about […]
Take us all the way Lord. That is my prayer for you and me today. I was reminded of this phrase today as I spent time in prayer. This week has been a hard week. It has felt as if I was walking through quick sand with a boulder tied around my ankles. Have you […]
There is a story my Mom tells me. She has told me numerous times over the years. Therefore, it is not news to me, but it always makes me laugh. This day, it made me think. We were talking about my great-niece who just turned six-months old. She is a chunky little blessing. Hard to […]
Genesis 41:32 says; And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. Has this ever happened to you? Has God given you the same dream more than once? This doesn’t happen often, however, every now and then God will give me […]
Oh, I just love when God tells me to write about this subject…that was a faith statement. Truthfully, I seek God about every single teaching and most of the time I love what he gives me. However, when he tells me to write about giving, I cringe. Why? Not because I don’t believe his word […]
And as He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in a bodily form like a dove. Luke 3:22 I was listening to a message about this scripture recently. As I listened to this man of God describe this event, I began to ponder this message. He expounded on the […]
I was standing in my kitchen, preparing dinner. Breanne was sitting in the living room. She was engrossed in reading. She had begun reading In the Steps of a Prophet, by Jerry Savelle. I had shared with her that it was one of my favorite books. Bryson and Brailee were sitting at the counter playing […]
The night of the partner prayer call, Kelita and I talked about how it felt like a different teaching. We shared that it felt more like a word from God than a teaching. The following day, we were still talking about the emails we had received from partners who were greatly encouraged by the call. […]
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 I read an article this past week about this scripture. The minister was sharing a time when the door to his plane was stuck. He needed to leave […]
Have you ever tried to find sweet-tasting fresh fruit or vegetables before the time of harvest? I was thinking about this today as I threw away yet another bag of oranges I had just purchased at the grocery store. It is so difficult at this time of year to find sweet-tasting fruit. It is also […]
I realize we have talked about leaving the past behind many times in the past few months. Today I want to show you the importance of leaving the past behind in a real and tangible way. Last night a friend who lives in another city called me and informed me that she was near my […]
I am remembering a dream that the Lord gave me several months ago. This dream has much to say, and I think of it from time to time. Let me begin by sharing the dream with you and then I will expound on what has God shown me through this particular dream. In my dream, […]
Over the years I have shared stories with you about my grandchildren, Bryson and Brailee. Often God speaks to me through these kids. Or He shows me something through them. I am so thankful when God does this. Many times, like just the other day, it catches me off guard. Bryson is a gentle, kind […]
Amos 3:3 says, “Can two walk together unless they agree?” This scripture came to mind during a conversation with a friend. We were talking about a biblical situation when she gave me her frank opinion on the subject. I didn’t really respond. She asked my opinion and I gave it. I didn’t elaborate. I simply […]
After I had written the May Partner letter and sent it out, I walked outside to water my plants. I had written on the familiar scripture in Luke that says; A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds […]
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12 There are a few subjects I can’t seem to move past lately, humility is one of them. Last week, a phrase continually came to mind concerning humility. It was humility obeys without question or delay. […]
As I was preparing for work, I was thinking about something that happened the day before. The day before Breanne had informed me that Bryson had a doctor’s appointment that day. She said he had a cough and she was going to take him to the doctor to have it checked. I thought this […]
“Don’t you realize, you are now eating the harvest from the seeds you sowed last season?” This is something God spoke to me just last week. You may recall, I shared with you how God began speaking to me in January about the scripture found in Deuteronomy 8:18; But you shall remember the LORD your […]
I am reminded today of an incident that once happened at our office. We were home on a Sunday when we received a call that someone had driven their car through our building. I was stunned. It is a brick building. One that you would have to go up over a sidewalk to get to. […]
I always look forward to Partner Prayer Call nights. This week’s call excited me beyond imagination. It wasn’t being able to gather with our partners, although I love that. It wasn’t the teaching, although I had studied diligently for it. For me, this time, it was the prayer time. Not actually the prayer time, but […]
