Today, I want to share a prophetic word/ dream from Nate Johnston. I have not shared anything like this for a long time – but this one spoke to me… please read and then I want to ask you a question. MY WARNING FROM THE LORD ON THIS NEXT MOVE OF GOD Last week, I […]
Recently, I watched a cooking show on how to make the best barbecue. I don’t know why it caught my attention since I am not a huge barbecue lover, but it did. Throughout the segment, one man, when explaining how to make the best barbecue, said these words… “Low and slow…remember that. If you want […]
“Don’t you realize you are now eating the harvest from the seeds you sowed last season?” This is something God once spoke to me… God began speaking to me in January about the scripture found in Deuteronomy 8:18. But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power […]
This past week, I came across a quote I had once read. It was… When someone is pregnant, she is not “expecting a child” – she already has one. She is not “going to be a mother” – she already is a mother. The baby is not “on the way”. The baby has already arrived. […]
One morning, as the sun began to peek through the windows, I casually glanced at my calendar. The date on the calendar reminded me that the next presidential election was just days away. It’s hard to forget with all the constant coverage on the local news stations. I began to think about the upcoming election […]
“and the Lord shut him in.” These words came to mind this morning as I was meditating on scripture. They come from Genesis 7:16. They refer to Noah and the ark. The animals had been ushered onto the ark. Noah and his family settled in as God commanded and the word of God says, “and […]
Life can be hard; there is no doubt about this truth. None of us are exempt from times of challenge, loss, and disappointment. But when we experience these things, it’s crucial to remember that disappointment should not be the lens through which we view our lives and all God has to offer. We must maintain […]
With the ding of my phone, I was alerted to yet another person who was facing physical attacks on their body. It seemed it had been a week of those types of communication. I read email after email of people who are battling sickness or disease right now. Physical attacks seemed to be a widespread […]
As the temperatures drop and mornings become crisp and cool, I find myself thinking about something I do each year: preparing for winter. I thought about a few years ago when I prepared myself for winter and helped others prepare. Whether preparing water pipes, chopping wood, or picking up nuts, I helped those around me […]
“You can’t be pitiful and powerful at the same time!” I heard Joyce Meyer say those words many years ago. They are the words that came back to me this morning as I was praying for someone. You cannot be pitiful and powerful at the same time – you will have to choose. I am […]
Start where you are. Do what you can. With what you have. These words have come to me many times in the past few weeks as we have worked to supply provisions for those most affected by the recent hurricanes. Day after day, I hear about more needs. Some days, it seems like an overwhelming and […]
Are you currently facing a challenging situation? I recently came across a thought-provoking statement that really made me stop and think. It goes like this: “If God doesn’t rescue you from a difficult situation, or if He doesn’t lead you around it, it’s because He has already given you the tools to achieve victory in […]
Today, as I drove by a familiar road, my mind returned to the day I visited a home near here and the veteran who resided there. This experience may have come to mind because we have been gathering and distributing supplies to those affected by Hurricane Helene. A few years ago, our ministry received a […]
A pastor I know often says, “When you hear a testimony, God releases the power of God into that testimony to DO IT AGAIN.” It is powerful to grasp that as we share a testimony, it carries within it the power to “do it again.” For the past couple of weeks, God has been speaking […]
Imagine, with me, a moment when you hear a knock at the door. You arise to answer the door to find Jesus standing there. Excitedly, you invite Him in, just as Martha did long ago. You are so excited you can hardly contain yourself; your mind is racing, thinking, “How could this be happening? This […]
Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it’s the only thing. –Albert Schweitzer One late afternoon, I arrived home from the grocery store. I loaded up my arms to carry everything in with as few trips as possible. It’s odd, but this has always been my way. Instead of making ten comfortable trips, […]
I once encountered a powerful piece of writing by Marsha Burns that really resonated with me. Even though it’s been many years, I still find myself reflecting on its impact today. It said, Keep yourself from defilement. This may require pulling back from activities and relationships that are not beneficial to you. Stop and consider […]
“We marched around our house seven times a day for several days and prayed, and God paid it off.” This was the marvelous testimony I heard while listening to a ministry online this morning. While this is a beautiful testimony, this strategy won’t work for everyone. It worked for this couple because the Spirit of […]
Recently, I have been thinking about God’s abiding presence. For God to have an abiding presence, the atmosphere must first be conducive to creating a resting place for God. Psalm 132:13-14 says For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His home: “This is My resting place forever and ever; here I […]
After being led on a three-day fast, I spent the night seeking guidance from the Lord through the scriptures. I was eager to receive any message or insight from Him following the completion of those days. As I delved into the Word of God, a familiar scripture caught my attention, and I felt that it […]
