Have you ever wished your life was different in a certain area? I think we all have.
The good news is, as born-again Christians, through what Jesus did at the cross and the power of His word, we have the ability to create the change we desire to see in our life.
I know many people who look at ministers in awe because of the place they are walking in right now. They may admire the place they are in spiritually or perhaps financially. They wish they could be like these people. The fact is they can. But the other fact is, it won’t happen overnight.
It didn’t happen overnight for the ministers they are in awe of and it won’t happen overnight for anyone else.
Lately God has had me watching a lot of old teaching videos, I mean from 25-35 years ago.
One night I was watching Kenneth Hagin Sr. in one of his meetings, throughout the crowd in the meeting I saw many faces I recognized. Many of the people at that meeting over 25 years ago, are people who are still going strong in ministry. These are many of the same people who have relationships with God that are enviable. These are the same people who are walking in a place of blessings of God that many envy. It didn’t happen for them overnight. They have faithfully followed God and His word for many, many years.
They have gone through battles and trials and challenges and they have chosen to hang on to God in the midst of them. They have had setbacks and disappointments but they didn’t let anything stop them from pursuing God. They daily sowed the word of God into their life. They daily walked with God and developed an intimate relationship with Him.
Because of that word and that relationship, they now walk in a place in God that many wish they could.
Galatians 6:7-8 says; Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
These people arrived at their destination by sowing consistently to the Spirit and therefore have reaped the Spiritual benefits. You have the same opportunity.
I think some of the problem is busyness of life. I think many people are so busy they think they don’t have time for God. They don’t have time for the word on a daily basis.
In this scripture the word corruption is defined as perishable or something that decays. If we sow into the things of the world, into the flesh, we will only reap things that are perishable and that will decay. However, if we sow to the Spirit, we will reap ZOE, which is defined as the absolute fullness of life.
I don’t know about you but I am sowing toward the ABSOLUTE FULLNESS OF LIFE.
Again, it doesn’t happen overnight. However, if you start today, you are sowing into your future. What do you need to start? Well, if you are not reading your bible daily, set aside a few minutes to get into the word of God each day. If you are not spending time cultivating the presence of God in your, make time to spend intimate time with God.
The only way you are going to see change in your life in ANY area is if you sow change in your life.
The change you make TODAY will begin to change your tomorrows. Eventually, you will find yourself walking in the blessings of God, walking in the absolute fullness of life, just like God promised.
2 Corinthians 9:6 says; But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Begin today to sow bountifully into the Spirit…as you do, you will begin to reap bountifully…but it is all up to you.
Prayer for Today: Father, I thank you for your word, I choose to put it in my heart and mind daily. I receive all the benefits that come with sowing into the Spirit. I choose to walk in the absolute fullness of life that is only found in you. Thank you for this promise. In Jesus name. Amen.
