Today I was thinking about vision. The Bible says ‘without a vision, the people perish.’ One meaning of the word ‘perish’ is to let go. Without a vision, the people will let go. Let go of what? Let go of the vision that God has given them. God gives each one of us a vision, […]
I had a strange morning Tuesday; on my way to work I could sense God prompting me to pray about a situation I had prayed about for years. In frustration I said ‘God, I don’t know anything else to pray, I have prayed everything I know to pray. Holy Spirit show me how to pray […]
Most Christians are familiar with the scripture that says ‘those who know their God shall be strong and carry out exploits.’ Many of us have heard in preached in relation to the mighty things we will do in God. That’s what I always thought it meant, today I decided to dig a little deeper. I […]
Monday was a busy day for me. My mom was having surgery. It was an outpatient surgery, therefore I waited on her in the waiting room. As I sat there I thought about a scripture that came before me over and over again that morning. The scripture is found in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, and in […]
I few years ago I began to listen to a series of teachings by Keith Moore, the name of the series was Victory over Death. I initially began listening to them after the death of Jesse, my younger brother, I knew I had to get the word of God in me in order to get […]
Yesterday I was riding out of town with a friend, we were talking about trusting our Savior to save us through different circumstances. As we talked I remembered a story about Bryson, my grandson, when he was three or four years old. I want to share that story with you today and remind you….He is […]
Yesterday, in my time of worship, I began to think about the time in my life that I first learned about worship and the power it brings forth. I remembered reading an article in Kenneth Hagin’s magazine about praise and worship more than twenty-five years ago – that began a whole new way of knowing […]
The Lord gave me a dream recently that I have pondered in my heart for days now. In the dream the Lord had me expand my dining room area. I literally had to push out walls and move things around to make my dining room large enough for the feast the Lord said was coming. […]
I once read a book that included a chapter on mindsets, I found it quite interesting and I would love to share some of the high points with you today. The three mindsets discussed were the barbarian mindset, the Greek mindset and the Hebrew mindset. Although it was a short chapter, some parts of it […]
A minister friend was sharing a story with me this week. He shared how he had visited a local church for the first time. He sat in the back and observed several people who weren’t participating in the call for prayer. He also noticed the people who didn’t or weren’t able to stand when the […]
This morning I was reading a card from one of our beloved partners, she was sharing some upcoming medical tests that were ahead of her. She was sharing how the dreaded ‘c’ may be coming back. As I read her card a song sprang up in my spirit for her. The song is by Fred […]
My heart is overwhelmed with the goodness of God today! I am overflowing with thanksgiving today! Why? I just am. Nothing spectacular has happened, yet I am just so very thankful that God saw me and chose me for his own…he plucked me out of my former life and into his glorious kingdom, for that […]
The other day Breanne and I were discussing an accident that had occurred due to someone playing a particular video game as they drove. When she mentioned the name of the game I said ‘Bryson just told me about that game, he said he heard it was really fun and he wanted to play it.’ […]
I don’t know why, but the Lord has me on this subject this week and I have to keep sharing stories like this until he allows me to move on to another subject. This is for someone this week…I pray it ministers to you. One night about a year ago, Breanne dropped by and ask […]
Many years ago I was facing some great challenges, it seemed that daily something new would come my way to buffet and challenge me. One day a seemingly small thing happened, but it was the last straw for me. I don’t know if you have ever been there, but the pressure was so great that […]
I was listening to a story the other day by Kenneth Copeland. He was talking about a time when his ministry kept receiving checks from another church. Each week they kept coming and he finally called the Pastor of that church and asks him what was going on. The Pastor replied that he had made […]
I talked with you yesterday about preparing for the days ahead. I hope you took the article as a faith move and not a fear move. I believe God has given us all we need to not only survive but to thrive in the days ahead. He is a faithful God and He will keep […]
Let me begin this writing by saying ‘I am not a gloom and doom person.’ I have never been and by the grace of God, I will never be a gloom and doom person. That being said, last week when the Lord began to talk to me about preparing, I listened. A few days later, […]
Over the past couple weeks several things have come my way that are challenging. Personal things. This morning as I drove to an appointment, I was worshipping God and I began to weep and said ‘God, I need your help with all this.’ He, tenderly and gently reminded me of something He said to me […]
After reading several emails and letters over the weekend, I wanted to take a moment and encourage you in your giving. Several of you have been giving faithfully and generously from the beginning of the year. Many of you have sent in testimonies of harvest, some of you are still standing in faith for your […]
