I love birds, I love to hear them chirp and see them fly around. For this reason, I keep a couple bird feeders near or on my back porch. I could spend hours sitting there enjoying the birds in my yard. I have one bird feeder that hangs off my porch. This allows me to […]
Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do. Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for […]
Did you know offerings are mentioned over 1,000 times in the Bible? I did not know that until recently. The more I listen and the more I study, the more I find that offerings are a matter of the heart, not the checkbook or wallet. Many people get offended when you mention tithe or offerings […]
Atmospheres & Fulfillment – Wednesday, November 22 One of my favorite scriptures is found in the book of Micah. It says; rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. Micah 7:8 God does not promise will never […]
I read a story about a minister today, a well-known minister. He talked about a time in his life where he loved his ministry more than his God. He said during that time, his ministry began to falter. He said that God begin to close doors and windows and nothing was going right in his […]
Today I was remembering the day I received a donation from one of our partners, with a note that caught my attention and stayed in my spirit for weeks. It said, ‘this is a seed of thanksgiving for the recent divine appointment from God.’ I won’t go into the personal aspects of it, but what […]
John 10:10 says; The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Most of us are very familiar with this verse. We often read it and think the enemy/ thief comes to steal our […]
A familiar song has been in my spirit for days! I can’t stop singing it. I don’t want to stop singing it. The song is ‘Prepare Ye The Way of the Lord.’ In my spirit, I can hear it, the commotion, the preparation, the angels of the Lord rushing around saying ‘Prepare the way, He […]
I glanced down at my phone as I heard a ding from a text. The text it said ‘are you going to drive in the storm?’ I responded, ‘what storm?’ The text was from a friend that I was planning to meet at her office that morning. I had planned to meet with her and […]
The things going on in our country saddens me greatly. I am sure it does you too. I do not understand how we have come to the place where we are not safe, even in the house of God. Prophets have been warning us all year long. They have been crying out ‘PRAY! PRAY!’ and […]
Skillful pilots gain their reputation from storms and tempests. I read this quote today and thought about Jesus. We all want to walk like Jesus walked and see the same types of miracles in our ministry or in our lives. I believe we can do what Jesus did, the Bible tells us so. That being […]
Thus says the Lord: ‘Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls.’ (Jeremiah 6:16) This is one of my favorite scriptures and one I think of often. It came to mind today as I […]
‘A life of prayer will produce a life of promises fulfilled.’ These are the words God spoke to me one morning as I began to pray. I have a confession to make, my prayer life has been in a rut lately. Oh, I still spend time daily with God, with the word, in worship and […]
This week I was blessed to talk to one of our long-time partners on the phone. The words she spoke to me blessed me beyond measure – it was not the words she said but the source from which they came. Words are powerful things! We know that. However, it is also truth that the […]
As I read a daily word by Bill Burns today, I began to think about what it really means to ‘walk’ with God. Before I share my thoughts, allow me to share his word with you today; You are My children. I love you and I will be with you. I will be with you […]
Eternal perspective or seasonal perspective…which one do you have? I was thinking about this over the weekend. We must realize there is a huge difference in eternal perspective and seasonal or daily perspective. For instance, if I am at a family gathering with lots of food and I choose to view it from a daily […]
‘Don’t flinch when the devil rears his head.’ These are the words God spoke to me recently. Hebrews 10:38 says; ‘Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.’ I was thinking about this scripture a couple weeks ago when something occurred in […]
Regret is a powerful thing. While it is not always possible to go back and do things over again, it is always possible to have a happy ending. All we have to do is rewrite the ending. I was thinking along these lines this morning as I read a line that said, ‘this story has […]
Continual – continuing indefinitely in time without interruption, recurring in steady, usually rapid succession. I found myself sitting at my desk this morning, thinking about how very thankful I am for the job I have. I love what I do. I love writing, I love encouraging, I love teaching the word of God. I am […]
