Lately, I have come across a saying over and again. It seems everywhere I turn; I see or hear this particular sentence. Never judge a person based on a season. We see this truth in the pages of the written Word. In one season David was a shepherd, the next season he as a king. […]
The other day someone shared something with me that has stuck in my mind for several days. It read; purging is the reward of the fruitful. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. (John 15:2) […]
“Now, what about you???” These words are what the Lord whispered to me one morning during my prayer time. I had finished the weekly, audio partner prayer. I had prayed over my family. I prayed over the ministry. I prayed for friends I knew where dealing with challenges. Just as I was finishing praying over […]
I was down on my knees, picking beans, listening to my Aunt Sherry talk. I have learned a great deal over the years, straight from her garden. This was one of those days. We were talking about the weeds in my uncle’s garden. He is not one to work at keeping weeds out, therefore there […]
Every so often, I am asked to go to my daughter’s house and organize. Organization is something I am good at. Therefore, when she needs a room organized and doesn’t know where to start, she calls Mom. When the call one week a couple years ago, it was to organize Bryson’s room. He was away […]
Today, I was listening to a testimony that I had heard many times before. It was about a woman who had just been told her child was dying. Her response was, “I refuse fear.” Refusing fear is not an easy thing to do, especially in a situation like that. I know, I have been there. […]
This morning I came across an excerpt I had once read. It is from a book by Steve Porter. In this book, Steve talks about a visitation he had. The Lord had awakened him to come and dine with Him. Steve obeyed and went to the table of the Lord. While there, the Lord prepared […]
I shared with you yesterday about my Aunt Sherry and canning beans. After I wrote that motivation, the Lord began to show me some things. Things that I want to share with you today. It has been about ten years ago that my aunt taught me to can and freeze foods for winter. The first […]
This time of year always excites me! I am watching my little garden grow. I can see it is almost harvest time. Potato plants are blooming. I have tiny cucumbers and bell peppers. My cabbage is ready. It’s an exciting time for sure. While looking at my garden today, I thought, “any day now I […]
While reading a recent article by Dave Kubal, the Lord spoke to my heart, giving me instruction for the Body of Christ and its intercessors. His article was an encouragement indeed. In it, he spoke of God restoring the wellsprings of our nation. He described how The Summerhouse, a well and an update to the […]
The other night I was on my way to my sister’s to help her organize her quilting room. Brailee was in the passenger’s seat, jabbering away. As I always do, I began to pray and plead the blood of Jesus over our vehicle and us, thanking God for angels and the truth that no weapon […]
This morning as I was checking my garden, my mind went back to the many times I have driven to my Aunt Sherry’s to pick green beans. I thought of one morning when the Lord spoke something vital to me. It was early morning, and it was already hot. I had on long pants and […]
On my drive to exercise today, I found myself praying for a friend who was going through a difficult time. As I prayed, the Lord brought back to my remembrance a time when I had gone through the same thing. It was a few years ago. I had lost a close friend. She died of […]
The other day, I watched Kelita grab hold of an opportunity that everyone around her told her was impossible. She grabbed it anyway – and reaped the rewards of it. A short time later she shared an email with me that reminded me of an old saying. One that God has spoken to me about […]
After my writing on We Have Come Full Circle came out yesterday, one of our partners sent me this word from Lana Vawser. It is confirmation and I wanted to share it with you today to encourage you… Please know, I love and appreciate each one of you…Kim Potter AND…we have come FULL CIRCLE… Recently […]
I stood in my kitchen, peering out the window. Worship music was playing in the background. Suddenly the presence of God came over me and I lifted my hands in worship. Tears rolled down my face as I entered that wonderful intimate place of my Father’s presence. As I closed my eyes, I was taken […]
I am once again hearing the word prepare in my spirit. However, it is not the same kind of prepare as it was before. I don’t believe God is talking about preparing for something challenging that is about to happen – no, I believe it is the opposite. What would you do if the prayers […]
I never tire of the things God teaches me and reminds me of during planting season. One day I was preparing some Kennebec potatoes to put in the garden. I was sitting down, cutting them in quarters and halves, making sure there were several eyes present on each cutting. That is what I have been […]
As I went about planting seeds in my garden today, an email I once received from a partner came to mind. Every now and then God reminds me of this email, and I am so glad He does. So, we were digging up some sweet potatoes today. And we got a great amount, we re-planted […]
As with most folks, there are many things I am praying about this month, even this week. There are times in our life when it seems we are bombarded with prayer requests. There are times when it seems one thing happens after the other and we are trying to keep up. I don’t know about […]
