I read something the other day that said, “A seed sown in good ground, doesn’t struggle to produce a tree, it simply does what it were designed to do by God, it will produce what the seed was sown for.” Isn’t that good news!?!
When we sow seeds of the word of God into our heart, if our heart is good ground, it doesn’t struggle with the words we have sown, they simply produce whatever the word was sent for.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Is 55:11)
Once we declare God’s word over our life, whether it is for finances, healing, family issues, or simply for peace of mind, when that word is declared in faith, we can rest assured that his word will come to pass if we continue to seek his face and stand on that word.
It’s not easy. We may confess healing scriptures over our body or a loved one, yet we continue to see symptoms and perhaps they even worsen. What do we do then? Do we think that word didn’t work? Perhaps it was not God’s will? No, God’s will is healing. He said he sent his word and healed us. His word says, by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. It says, I will restore health to you and heal you of all your wounds. Scripture after scriptures declares the will of God for us concerning healing.
It’s the same with finances. Jesus took our lack at the cross. We must confess his word over our finances and then rest in his promises.
Thankfully, it is also the same with our grown children or small children. God’s will for them is a good future. A future of following God and his ways and if we pray over them and stand on God’s word it will produce what it was sent for. His word cannot fail if we place our trust firmly in Jesus Christ.
I think one of the most difficult things for Christians to do is found in the book of Psalms, the 46th chapter.
Be still and know that I am God. (Ps 46:10)
To be still means to relax. How many of us spend our days in a relaxed mode?
Are you able to pray and confess God’s word, which is his will, over your situation and then relax? Do you do all God has led you to do and then let it drop? Or do you think there is much more you should do to help make it happen?
Me. I am a fixer. If there is a problem I will do everything in my power to fix it. I have always been that way. That is something I work on daily. It’s much more productive to FIRST seek God’s face and ask him what he would have you do and do that. Everything gets fixed so much quicker and better when he is brought into the situation.
These days I remind myself to be still, RELAX, and know he is God. He will be exalted in this situation if I only choose to trust in him and pursue him.
Today, I encourage you. Once you have stood on his word, once you have made your stand of faith, RELAX. Allow him to be God in your life. He will not fail you. That seed you have sown will not struggle to produce fruit. It may not happen in a day, but if you stay before him, it will happen. He is faithful. He will not disappoint or delay.
