As I awoke this morning I said ‘Lord, what would you have me do today? What do you want me to accomplish, lead me today, guide me today, help me to do exactly what you would want me to do today.’ You see, I have been thinking about this book I once read, it was […]
Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” I have always loved that scripture and I pray it all the time over my daughter and grandchildren. This past weekend, God showed me a simple and yet, profound example of […]
I read something today on the website of Sid Roth, you can read the full article at www.sidroth.org – I want to share a portion of it with you: Is this year’s Presidential election designed to sear our conscience with a spirit of scorn? To “scorn” means to boast, mock, be critical or arrogant. God […]
A couple weeks ago, while I was studying, the Lord spoke a few words to me. He said ‘steps and stones.’ Steps and Stones, I had never heard that before, I have heard ‘sticks and stones’ but not steps and stones. I kept these words in my heart and meditated on them. The Lord took […]
“That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging.” Matthew 7:2 Message Bible The other day I met with a friend for a time of prayer. She has been a friend of mine for many years, in fact, we went to school together. We began to talk about things that were going on. We were discussing […]
Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21 We often talk about life and death being in the power of the tongue, and we are generally referring to not using words in a negative way against a person. However, I want to shine His light on a different aspect of that […]
Oh, I just love when God tells me to write about this subject…that was a faith statement. Truthfully, I seek God about every single teaching and most of the time I love what he gives me. However, when he tells me to write about giving, I cringe. Why? Not because I don’t believe his word […]
For those of you who don’t know…a Pearl is a timely word from God that I want to get out quickly…. Today I sent out a teaching about ‘making it to the other side.’ A few moments ago I received an email from a long-time partner of our ministry. He shared a teaching with me […]
“On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into […]
No, it isn’t a typo! I meant to write ‘pray yourself first.’ This morning I found myself thinking and talking to God about some financial areas. As I did, I felt he dropped this statement in my heart. As I heard it I began to ponder my prayer life. My prayer life mainly consists […]
“…and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in and choke the word and it becomes unfruitful.” Mark 4:19 Yesterday, I was spending time in prayer; I was walking around my house attempting to worship God. It felt as if I were hitting a brick wall. […]
Today’s message will be short and sweet….I think. I was listening to several ministers this week. One in particular was giving a prophecy she felt was from the Lord. It talked about horrible times coming to the world. As I read the word of prophecy, I did not feel encouraged, edified or uplifted. Now, don’t […]
Over the weekend I was listening to teachings by Pastor Dave Roberson. I was reminded of a word he gave a few months ago. At the time he gave the word, I sent out a teaching based on that word. Today I feel I need to resend that teaching, someone, perhaps you, needs to hear […]
Yesterday I wrote about the difference between hope and faith. Today I want to go a little deeper into that vein of thought. A few nights ago God reminded me of something he had said to me through a prophetic word over 15 years ago. At the time I received that word, I thought it […]
There was something very different about the Apostle John. Words were said about him that were not said about any other Apostle. In scripture John was referred to as the ‘one whom Jesus loved.’ The funniest thing is that you find that in the Gospel of John four different times and in no other Gospel. […]
I was thinking about people of faith the other day. I was thinking about how it was when I was first born again, it has been over 25 years. Back in those days, the word of faith was taught everywhere…at least every place I was. I heard faith, faith and more faith. I had so […]
After yesterday’s teaching on famine, I got a few emails. One of our long-time partners jokingly said ‘when I saw the title I did not want to read that email, but God prompted me to keep reading.’ I wasn’t offended at all, I know exactly how she feels. I have had times and seasons in […]
Today I want to talk with you about a group of familiar scriptures. They are found in Ephesians 6:10-16; “finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For […]
I was listening to an interview from a well-known author. He was talking about his books, one of his books was called One More Day. It was about being able to spend one more day with someone you loved who is now gone. When asked why the subject of that book, he said that after […]
God appointments…that’s what I call them. They are those appointments you make, thinking they are for one purpose, not realizing God has orchestrated the appointment. As it turns out, the appointment had very little to do with what you thought it was about. I had one of those this past week. I had made a […]
