I have always loved the scriptures about a sweet-smelling sacrifice. One day I was meditating on this when the Lord began to share with me, that it is not all about the smell, but what it represents. Leviticus 2:9 says, “It is an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.” This scripture […]
I had a strange morning this week. On my way to work I could sense God prompting me to pray about a situation I had prayed about for years. In frustration I said, “God, I don’t know anything else to pray, I have prayed everything I know to pray. Holy Spirit show me how to […]
Lately, I have been hearing one resounding message, both from God and from several ministers I have listened to. The message I am hearing is perseverance is required. In this world of fast food, instant messages, microwaves…we want everything fast. In God, things do not always happen that way. I wish they did. I always […]
3 John 1:12 is a foundational scripture for prosperity. We hear it quoted all the time concerning this subject. It says; “Beloved, I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” We often use these scriptures to declare that God wants us to prosper financially, and He […]
Several times each year God speaks to me about honor. Specifically, about honoring those who have spoken into my life. Oh, I know you have read about honor before, however, like me, perhaps you need reminding every now and then. Today, I want to talk about…honoring the voices God has placed in your life. In […]
Last night the Lord gave me a dream, actually three separate dreams saying the same thing. In the dream, debris was being gathered into one place. In the first dream, debris was coming in on every wave from the ocean. We were gathering it up and taking it to a facility to get rid of […]
It was early Saturday morning. Thunder was rolling in the background, it did not feel like a good time for an appointment – yet I had one scheduled. It was another doctor’s appointment. One I didn’t dread because it was supposed to be easy – just a check up and change a few things. Things […]
While studying about meditating on the word of God, I came across some interesting facts about singing. As I studied the benefits of singing I was reminded of a few things. I remembered how we learned many things in school with song. We used song to learn the alphabet. We used song to learn our […]
It was one of those days when God had me call a few people on the phone. Just to encourage them. After the third time God had me make a call, I thought of a scripture in Proverbs. A man has joy in giving an appropriate answer, and how good and delightful is a word spoken […]
When I look around these days, I see many weary saints. The past year or so has been hard to say the least. I too am feeling the weariness of the battle that seems to loom on and on, without letting up. During my prayer time, God keeps leading me back to one place – the […]
I have noticed something in the years I have been walking with God. The thing I have noticed is we all have a particular word sown in us. For some it is healing, for some it is financial prosperity, for some it is deliverance, for some it is restoration. Whatever it is, we all have […]
2020 held a great deal of challenge, there is no question about that. However, if we look deeper it was also plentiful in opportunities to learn spiritual lessons. Lessons, that if embraced, will undoubtedly produce godly and lasting fruit. Romans 8:18 says, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared […]
He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 I was reading a story today about a football and how it never gets deflated in a game. Actually, I have never once thought about that. That football is hurled, kicked, squashed, fumbled and pounced on by 22 […]
As I was studying this morning a scripture caught my attention. It is found in Ecclesiastes 11:4. I am going to share it with you from the Amplified Bible: He who observes the wind and waits for all conditions to be favorable will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. Scriptures like this one […]
Over the past decade, the church as focused quite a bit on the words of our mouth. Rightly so, our words are very important. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” What comes out our mouth will be seen in […]
It has been quite a while since I had a dream from the Lord. But recently, upon waking, I knew this one was a game changer. In the dream I saw an entire city preparing for an upcoming marathon. The greatest runners in the country had come to participate and I understood that this race […]
This morning I was, once again, reminded of a story I once heard told by Kenneth E. Hagin. As they story goes…there were two men who had lands that they farmed. They had each borrowed money from a wealthy person in their city to purchase the lands. At the end of each year of harvest, […]
While watching a well-known minister over the weekend, I was enlightened. He was speaking on the point or moment of overflow. During his sermon, he used a simple coffee cup to make his point. It was as impactful as it was simple. The coffee cup sat empty on a table. Water began to drip into […]
This is my favorite part of the movie, Facing the Giants. I believe in America we are in that same time in the game with just seconds left… In the movie, the team had transformed from one of the worst to contenders in the playoffs. Now as they faced a giant of a team, their […]
It was midnight. I had been asleep for a while. I had faithfully done all the medical profession told me today concerning the battle I was faced with. Determined to overcome, I fully expected a good night’s sleep. Two hours later, I woke up with a start. My heart pounding out of my chest. Sweat […]
