In Monday’s motivation, I did not say everything I wanted to say or explain what I wanted to say well. Sometimes it is difficult to get the thoughts in my mind thoroughly down on paper. Especially in a short writing. Therefore, I want to revisit that writing today, if I may. I shared with you […]
Recently, I have been corresponding with a partner of this ministry who is going through an extremely difficult time. He shared with me last week a word from God that his wife gave him years ago, thinking that word may indeed be for this season. I want to share it with you today. I am […]
In 2 Kings, we find a widow woman who is struggling during a time of famine. The prophet comes to her house and asks her a question; what do you have in your house? The woman says she has a bottle of oil and that is all she has. He tells her to get the […]
Today I was thinking about something that happened when Brailee was small, maybe two or three years old. It was one weekend, Breanne, Brandon, and I were going to do some things in my yard. We wanted the kids to be entertained so we got one of those bounce houses for the weekend, so they […]
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight God. (Ps 19:14) I thought of this scripture as I had a conversation with a friend one day. I called her to chat for a moment. When I asked what she was doing, she replied that she was […]
A few years ago, Breanne and her husband took the kids on a trip to Gatlinburg. They had a blast! Bryson was still very small at the time; he was only four or five years old. It was all very exciting to him. One thing he had always wanted to do was fly. While on […]
…and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in and choke the word and it becomes unfruitful. Mark 4:19 One morning, I was spending time in prayer; I was walking around my house attempting to worship God. It felt as if I was hitting a brick […]
Over the holidays I usually enjoy quiet time seeking the Lord, not only concerning the year ahead but also the previous years – I want to grow in God with every year. Therefore, I seek God for what I could have done differently and if there are changes, I need to incorporate. As children of […]
Today, I was reminded of a scripture found in Leviticus 2:9 which says, “It is an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.” In Genesis 8:20-21, we see Noah, after the flood, offering a sacrifice to the Lord. “Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took of every clean animal and of […]
It was around 6am Monday morning. I had been awake most of the night. I have no idea why; I simply could not sleep. I didn’t feel the need to pray, or worship, I only felt exhausted. I decided to go lie on the couch and try to get an hour or two of sleep. […]
As I listened to different ministers talk about what they perceived for 2024, one passage of scripture was spoken of over and over again. Psalm 24. Just this morning God began to talk to me about the same set of scriptures and how we enter into a time of the blessing of God. This morning […]
Have you ever felt as if you were coming up against the same challenge or obstacle over and over again? Most of us have. It happens to everyone at one time or another. It even happened in scripture. We see this in the book of Deuteronomy, chapter 2. The children of Israel had circled the […]
One of our readers shared a story with me a while back that I just love. It was in response to my writing about praying for our children and grandchildren. I ran across it recently and felt led to share it with you today. 10 years ago, my Grandson, Jackson and I were enjoying a […]
As we step over the threshold of a new year, some are stepping into 2024 with a feeling of hope deferred. I recently read a post by Wanda Alger that was quite enlightening. Her story was my story. She described what the year 2023 had been for her. I sat in stunned silence. Later, as […]
It was early one morning when the Lord woke me with a question. “What can change a nation?” I believe this thought has been on the mind of many as we watch what is unfolding in our great United States of America. Thousands have been fasting and praying diligently for our nation. Some for many […]
This week one of our partners shared a testimony with me. She had posted on her Facebook page how the Lord had led her to sow a personal seed and the outcome of that seed. Just days after she sowed her seed, she heard water running in her house. In her words. “Last week I […]
Most of us are familiar with the scripture found in Romans 11:29: For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Many, if not all of us, think of the scriptures found in Ephesians when we think about the gifts of God… Therefore, He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and […]
Here we are at the end of December – the end of another year – it seems impossible yet here we are. This is the time of year many look back over the previous months and the prayers they have been praying. It’s the time of year when most decide if their prayers haven’t been […]
Several years ago, Jesse Duplantis taught a message on a choking point. It’s one of those messages that sticks with you year after year. How much can you believe God for? At what level or amount will you choke, or be unable to receive what God is offering? It always makes me think of the […]
If our nation and its people have ever been at a crossroad, we are there now. Never has there been a more important time to evaluate where we are and determine to walk on the right path. God’s path. Recently, during a prolonged personal battle, I began to ask the Lord how I got there […]
